High Peaks Photo Galleries

Many people beleive that the High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks is the heart of the Adirondacks. The rugged mountains, prisitine lakes and vast wilderness areas that cradle the Keene Valley, Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid are certainly iconic of the Adirondack’s wild nature. The sampling of trails in the High Peaks Region from the book, Five-Star Trails in the Adirondacks offer some of the more strenuous hikes in the collection, but by no means the most difficult in the region. No doubt the area and its trails are picturesque as the photo galleries below attest.
